The Partners Adult Tutor Program is a one-to-one tutoring program for adults who struggle with reading, writing or math. Learners are matched with a volunteer tutor and they work together to develop a learning plan based on the learner’s goals.
A guided book club where learners read a book together with a friendly supportive facilitator. Meetings are once a week (online) and each series runs for 6 weeks.

In partnership with the Surrey School District, SFU and UBC, this program offers a series of after-school sessions that help children develop literacy, numeracy, physical skills, and social well-being, with the support and guidance of university and high school student volunteers.
READ has created StoryWalk® Kits that organizations and community groups can borrow for free.

This 2-hour online workshop covers how to plan, write, edit, and design documents using clear language and design principles. Through presentation, discussion, and hands-on practice, learn how to use simple language to reach a wider audience.

In partnership with Surrey Libraries and Surrey Schools, READ offers a free 12-hour workshop that teaches frontline literacy workers how to incorporate family literacy into their work.
Our Read with Kids presentation is a free workshop for parents/caregivers on how to encourage reading with children. Books and resources are given to each adult and child.
This program is offered to organizations and community groups rather than individual families. We will come to your location and present to your families.
